Russian President Putin and the US President met four days ago, on 16 August 2025, in Alaska.

The results were not discussed publicly, leading to rumours in the German press that the summit had been unsuccessful. The presidents themselves see things differently. It can be assumed that Putin explained the conditions under which he would be willing to end the war, while Trump enjoyed playing the role of mediator and peacemaker.
The fact that the British have already torpedoed a peace agreement is likely to have played an important role for Putin, and Trump will not have failed to notice this either. Not even the German Bundestag.
In light of this fact, it is legitimate to speculate that Trump and Putin may have concluded a standstill agreement in the event that Europe once again prevents peace. For Trump, this could mean withdrawing from NATO; for my part, I would have agreed to exactly that.
Yesterday, Zelensky was summoned to the White House and told to dress appropriately and show a little more gratitude. In February, the robber baron had brutally screwed up.

The Europeans, who consider themselves important, decided that the poor little thing from the coking robber baron should not face the evil, evil Trump alone, and invited themselves along.
Trump, who is many things but not stupid, and who probably still has the deceitful warmongering of 2022 in the back of his mind, will have seen this as an opportunity and had them all turn up yesterday, on 20 August 2025.

So, everyone is very keen on peace, especially the Europeans, particularly Macron, Starmer and Merz.
Anyone who knows a little bit about European politics knows that these politicians all, all of them, lie as much as they can. Neither von der Leyen, nor Starmer, Macron, Merz or even Rutte have even a hint of interest in peace, and they don’t give a damn about the lives and survival of their citizens, so why should they care about the lives of Russian and Ukrainian citizens?
And yet, after invoking world peace yesterday, what are Starmer from the UK and Macron from France doing today? That’s right, sending troops, active soldiers, to Ukraine.

Tousi TV reports on it, while the rest, of course, do not or only mention it in two lines.
But this is important, because it is an escalation and actively undermines these peace efforts.
